Nose: Smoky, sweet, salt/brine, TCP/medicinal
Palate: Smoky, creamy, port/wine, juicy red fruit, there's a funky 'damp basement' note which is rather 'odd'
Finish: Long finish, mostly smoke and a little salt. Still residual 'funk' from the earthy flavours.
This is a weird whisky! It's not a bad whisky, but it has a chewiness that is just, well, odd! I'm glad to have tried it, but I wouldn't rush out to buy a bottle.
