Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Nose - sweet butterscotch, brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, marked barrel spice, cherry, peanut, mild to moderate ethanol burn.
Taste - butterscotch, pepper, sweet cherry, vanilla, apple, spicy barrel char, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, cocoa, moderate alcohol bite, finishing fairly quickly with pepper, cherry, and barrel spice flavors.
A solid sipper, but unfortunately overpriced. This has all the classic bourbon flavors, but it’s a bit thin and has an underwhelming finish. I wanted to give this a 4+ and feel the nose and palate in isolation deserve it, but I think the disappointing mouthfeel and finish knock this down just below that.

Should have phrased my comment (a lot) better @ctbeck11 Meant Michter's 10 YO rye being great to imply optimism about to 10 YO bourbon (but both are way too expensive)
@ContemplativeFox This was the 10 Year bourbon, but I am looking forward to trying the rye, in a way that doesn’t require I purchase a full bottle.
This is definitely one of the best ryes I had and might have been the first one that I really liked. I was seriously disappointed when I learned just how much it goes for :(
