I procured a few more gin samples from one of my regular online suppliers of which this was one. I quite liked the flavour profile but it did have an ethanolly edge which after I read @ContemplativeFox review was like ah it is like rubber. It's something that's once in your head is hard to not notice. For the price a decent drop however there are much better ones out there. I started on smaller craft batch gins and so most of the mainstream stuff seems a bit of a step down bar ones like Monkey 47.

@ContemplativeFox All good it would have bugged me regardless I just wouldn't have been able to put my finger on what it was exactly! Yes a lot quicker to get gin to market than whisky so a torrent of gin brands have been flooding the mkt recently
Sorry to have ruined it for you by mentioning the rubber :( I'm definitely finding increasingly that there are a lot of good lesser known gins out there too though! It's a fun category that is easy to go through a bottle of and it isn't too expensive :)
