Nose - maple syrup, butter, chemically vanilla and caramel, frosting, sawdust, fresh oak, charcoal, nondescript spices, high ethanol burn.
Taste - sweet vanilla, caramel, sawdust, charcoal, more nondescript spice, maple syrup, high alcohol bite, finishing fast with sawdust and hot, young alcohol flavors.
Not good, although I appreciate the heat on it. Many of the bottom shelf bourbons I’ve tasted are extremely cloying. This borders on cloying but doesn’t quite go all the way. Nonetheless, at $20 a bottle this is more expensive (and at least three years younger) than EW BiB and nowhere near as good.

That's really odd @ctbeck11 - you're right that extra smooth is 6 months. With this being 1 year and them having a 2 YO straight, Winchester has a really odd (and not good) product lineup.
@ContemplativeFox At first I thought it was the Extra Smooth, but it mentioned a minimum of one year aging on the miniature I picked up. The Extra Smooth references six months. So it may be the same whiskey, but possibly the new stuff is slightly older. Either way, it’s not good stuff, but I wouldn’t say it was completely horrific.
Huh, it looks like they're rebranding the Extra Smooth? https://distiller.com/spirits/winchester-extra-smooth-bourbon If so, you're being pretty generous because that was quite possibly the worst bourbon I've tried.
