Balcones Lineage Texas Single Malt
American Single Malt — Texas, USA

Compared to the original Texas Single Malt, this tastes more like a scotch with fresh peaches. As noted by others, sometimes even get peach gummy rings. Such a great value, now a fixture in the cabinet.
Re-review, it's been more than a year since I last had this one. The fruit is still very prominent. Lots of apple, peach, apricot. There's a wood presence, but more on the nose than the palate. The fruit goes a smidge sour on the palate and finish, betraying the youth of this spirit. Overall, I'm still pleased for the price, but there's a little too much sourness. It's remarkable what they can accomplish with just 3 years in the barrel, but I'd really be curious what this is like after say 5 years.

@Ctrexman Having a nip tonight. As long as I can find it and the price remains reasonable, this will never not be in my cabinet.
Fantastic stuff
