It's a very clean peat smoke influence and isn't unpleasant. This actually reminds me quite a bit of a Port Charlotte in that it has a very clean peat/smoke influence and additionally has a very clean sweetness to it. It's not quite only simple syrup, but it's like a generic "crisp" fruit, like an unripe apple that's sweet, but w/o the apple flavor.
