Very springbank-y. Writing this note immediately after opening the bottle.
Nosing: honey. Immediately some Campbeltown funk rise up. Old book, and a bit like the smell at the backstairs, a bit musty. Some smoky notes, maybe bonfire? And somehow it reminds me a glass of lemon tea in Hong Kong, flavoured with honey again. Some sweet nutty notes, maybe cashew, or macadamia? A light vanilla underneath. I am also getting a meaty broth in this dram. I’m getting some milk chocolate, a touch of mint and some marshmallow also.
Tasting: quite oily, maybe a bit of lemon. Also some oaky notes.
Finishing: not quite long, but a bit of citrusy. Some orange peels.
