This is a nice whisky, but doesn't do anything that blows me away. I like that it is not your typical peat bomb from Islay, but it still has plenty of smoke.
Nose: Sweeter than expected, still has some brine and a applewood smoke. Maybe melon????
Palate: Sweet smoke, slight ash, citrus, I'm still getting melon, but I've never got that note in a whisky.
Finish: Medium. It's not as long and strong as Ardbeg and Laphroaig, but this is much easier to drink. Slightly bitter.
Mouthfeel: Slightly thin, but nothing to complain about.
