i will see about putting those foods to work and see how they work for me. glad to hear you are a craft beer fan as well. the wood barrel has really bridged the gap between craft beer and whiskeys and bourbons and brought the 2 worlds together. im sipping on a bourbon barrel aged stout right now and it sure is tasty. lol. thank you for the reply and the advice. im looking forward to finding put where this adventure takes me. cheers!! @Rob-Owen
@beercraft71 great thoughts and question - in this case I just happened to be eating that yogurt snack, but I do try to notice what foods complement bourbons well. dark chocolate, almonds, and sharp cheeses trend to highlight bourbon flavor profiles really well for me. I'm also a beer fan, tend towards porters, stouts, red ales. thanks for the message, it's more enjoyable to share a bourbon experience with company - even if it's only virtually!
i'm new to bourbons and reviewing and breaking down their flavor profiles, but i have been into craft beers for a long time. with certain styles of craft beers i have found that eating and or drinking certain things pryor can enhance and help my pallet pull out and enjoy certain aspects of the beer that i could not detect before. is yogurt something that you use often and are there other foods or snacks that you use like this. i hope that these questions arnt out of line i am new to this app and its. okays and not okays. cheers!!
