New Spirit Releases - March 8, 2024 - New Riff 8 Year Bourbon, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 150, Rebel 100 6 Year Bourbon and More!

This 8 year-old Kentucky straight bourbon is the oldest release to date from New Riff Distilling. It's made from a mash bill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley like its flagship bourbon bottling. But while that release, and many others from the brand, is bottled in bond, this is the product of two distilling seasons and does not qualify for the designation. It's bottled without chill-filtration at 100 proof. Available beginning March 8, 2024. (SRP $67.99)

Launching spring 2024, Lux Row Distillers has introduced Rebel 100 6 Year to its portfolio. Like other Rebel Bourbon releases, this is made with a wheated bourbon mash bill recipe created in 1849. Bottled at 50% ABV after 6 years of aging, availability begins in late March 2024 nationwide. (SRP $59.99)

Old Forester's The 117 Series first launched in spring 2021 and focuses on innovation and experimentation. The brand releases three different 117 expressions annually. This limited edition expression features a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey sourced from low yield barrels, hence the name. Bottled in 375ml-sized bottles at 110 proof (55% ABV), this is available beginning March 6, 2024 at Old Forester Distilling Co. at $59.99 per bottle as well as at the brand's online store in a two-bottle set for $119.98. This limited edition bottling of Woodford Reserve Bourbon commemorates the running of the 150th Kentucky Derby held in 2024. The label features the artwork of Kentucky native Wylie Caudill, known for his bold, repetitive patterns and signature roses. Entitled "Adorned in Roses," this artwork features a racing thoroughbred covered in red roses and a background of multi-colored roses. Like the previous 7 & 15 Year expression, this is a blend of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskeys. Here, the bottling includes whiskeys that were aged 8 and 15 years. The brand name pays homage to Kentucky, the 15th state in the Union. Available in March 2024 in KY, IN, TN, MO, GA, LA, FL, MA, OR & IL. (SRP $139)

This limited edition release from 15 Stars is a blend of straight rye whiskeys aged 9, 7, and 6 years from Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. The name Batch 2-SSDD is referring to the "same spirit, different day" in regards to the first batch which included rye whiskeys aged 6, 7, and 8 years. Batch 2-SSDD is available in March 2024 in KY, IN, TN, MO, GA, LA, FL, MA, OR, & IL. (SRP $89)

Barman's Code is a small batch bottling of 10 year-old Irish single malt whiskey which has been finished in Marsala wine casks from Sicily. It's the first in an expected limited edition series from the brand featuring extra-aged single malt finished in unique barrels. Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV), this is available globally beginning March 2024 with 1,500 6-pack cases produced. (SRP $55/700ml)
