New Spirit Releases - September 6, 2024 - Bardstown Bourbon Co., Glenfiddich, and More!

This is the second of three expressions from the brand's Collaborative Series for 2024. Here, BBCo. partnered with iconic American winery Silver Oak Cellars. Six bourbons — three from Kentucky and one each from Tennessee, Indiana, and Georgia — were blended ranging in age from 9-15 years. Then the blend was finished for a further 17 months in Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels made exclusively with American oak. Bottled at 108 proof, it's available beginning September 2024. This is the 12th release in the Discovery Series which highlights the art of blending. Here the brand blended four different Kentucky straight bourbon whiskies together, each with a different mash bill. The bulk (48%) of the blend was aged 14 years followed by two 10 year-olds (29% and 15%, respectively), and a 6 year-old four grain bourbon (8%) which was distilled at BBCo. Available beginning September 2024. (SRP $139.99)

Grand Château 31 Year is the second limited release from The Glenfiddich's Grand Series, a collection of single malt whiskies which feature experimental cask finishing. It was first matured for 22 years in American oak barrels. Then it was placed into Bordeaux red wine casks for a further 9 years of maturation. Available for a limited time at select retail outlets in the US beginning September 2024. (SRP $2,100)

Blame Canada! is a 22 year-old Canadian rye whisky released by Proof & Wood Ventures, purveyors and blenders of American and global spirits. Fourteen barrels were distilled at Lethbridge Distillery in Canada from a recipe of 91% rye and 9% corn. After 22 years of aging, it was bottled as single barrels with proofs ranging from 117-119. Available beginning September 2024. (SRP $199)
