Then a parcel of that whisky is transferred to sherry casks, for around 2 years, including hand-selected Pedro Ximenez casks from the House of Gonzalez-Byass. This US exclusive will be available as of September 2022 nationwide.

The Osopher is a limited edition American single malt bottling which honors Stranahan's co-founder George Stranahan (1931-2021). In addition to the distillery, he also founded the Flying Dog Brewpub in Aspen in 1990. This bottling uses Stranahan's whiskey barrels which were then used to age Flying Dog Imperial Road Dog Porter. After the barrels aged the beer, they were then sent back to Stranahan's to finish aging this 11 year-old single malt for an additional four months. Initial availability will be limited to the distillery beginning August 2022, but a wider nationwide release is expected to follow later in the year.
