New Spirits Releases - July 8, 2022

Russell's Reserve 13 Year Bourbon was created to honor legendary Master Distiller Jimmy Russell. Jimmy's son Eddie Russell first released the 13 Year expression, the oldest for the brand, back in summer 2021. Beginning with this 2022 edition, the brand intends to release it as an annual release going forward. Like the first release, it too is bottled without chill filtration at barrel proof. Availability begins in July 2022 nationwide in limited quantities.

Stellum Black, produced by Barrell Craft Spirits, is a series of specialty whiskey blends featuring rare barrels. For Fibonacci Rye, six straight rye whiskeys from Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky are blended and bottled at cask strength. The bottling is named after Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci for which the Fibonacci sequence is named. This sequence is series of numbers with each number the sum of the previous two numbers reflecting balance. Only 9000 bottles produced with availability at select retailers nationwide beginning in July 2022.

Stellum Black, produced by Barrell Craft Spirits, is a series of specialty whiskey blends featuring rare barrels. For this Equinox Bourbon, straight bourbon whiskeys from Indiana, Tennessee, and Kentucky are blended and bottled at cask strength. The bottling is named as such due to the final blend being completed on the evening of the vernal equinox. Only 8400 bottles produced with availability at select retailers nationwide beginning in July 2022.

This bottling commemorates the 7th anniversary of the four-alarm fire on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville. Barrels filled on that day -- with the exception of 8 single barrels which were sold to benefit the Louisville Firefighter Disaster Fund -- were batched to create this limited edition expression. Aged almost 7 years, this is bottled at 100 proof. Availability will be limited to the Old Forester Distilling Co. retail shop on Whiskey Row beginning July 7, 2022.

The Chocolate Edition from Douglas Laing's Scallywag highlights the "dessert-like" cocoa rich flavors which is a trademark for the brand. Made from a blend of Speyside single malt whiskies including Mortlach, Macallan and Glenrothes, they are all sherry cask matured. Released on World Chocolate Day 2022, July 7th, only 3600 bottles are available globally. (SRP £57.50 / €67.50)
