10Sweet & FruityCasa Noble produces USDA certified organic tequila that’s made with 10-14 year-old agave plants from their own fields in the hills near the city of Tequila. Casa Noble exclusively uses lightly charred white French Limousin oak. The triple-distilled reposado is aged for 364 days, the maximum possible time span. As this is a single barrel expression, expect slight variations to exist on the flavor profile.

9Herbal & SpicyThe Código 1530 process begins with 100% blue weber agave grown in Amatitán, Mexico. The agaves are harvested 7 years after planting, cooked in ovens made of stainless steel, and distilled twice. Código 1530 Reposado rests for six months in Napa cabernet French white oak barrels and is then bottled at 40% ABV. Additive free.

8Fruity & UmamiArte NOM is the brainchild of wunderkind Jake Lustig. An American who grew up in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, Lustig has been importing, selling, and writing about agave spirits his entire adult life. He asked his favorite producers of blanco, reposado and añejo tequilas to make special batches just for him to showcase their mastery of these respective styles. Such a project required a change to Mexico's law, which previously required an individual brand to represent the product of one distillery only. This reposado is made in Arandas from estate-grown agave and spends four months in 3rd-fill ex-bourbon barrels. Additive free.

Following the distillery’s laborious traditional methods, the Suerte Reposado is aged for seven months in single-use Jack Daniels barrels.

5Herbal & OilyPartida Single Barrel Reposado was first announced in January 2020. For this limited edition release, thirty barrels were selected by Partida's Maestro Tequilero José Valdez. Each bottling has been aged for a minimum of 6 months in white American oak with a medium char. Additionally, three tasting profiles were selected amongst the barrels so the purchaser of the barrel will be able to choose from ligero (light), medio (medium), and intenso (intense) flavor profiles.

4Spicy & FruityFounded in 1870 by Félix López, Herradura is one of the oldest producers of tequila. Herradura is distilled at Hacienda de San José del Refugio, located in the small town of Amatitán, which is considered by many to be the birthplace of tequila. The Double Barrel Reposado is aged for 11 months in oak barrels, then aged another month in a toasted oak barrel. The traditional production process is overseen by Maria Teresa Lara, one of only a few female Maestra Tequileras (Master Distillers) in the world.
