Knob Creek 9 Year Single Barrel Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 10, 2018 (edited June 10, 2019)Great Value for the money and its basically cask stregnth. It is in my Top 10 Bourbons for the Buck. If you have a store that has a barrell program go for that. The stores, in my experience, tend to get either older or just better tasting bottles. Can be a little hot depending on the day so cube it to your fancy and enjoy. Great for classic cocktails as its higher proof can stand up to other ingridents and dillution. -
4 stars... Price CHECK, Taste (CHECK), Consistency (CHECK) for $19 dollars this was the PERFECT share and sip bottle at a recent college football tailgate. fancy enough for some, easy enough for all. you get some of that basic bourbon profile which to me is overdone caramel vanilla cake (with alcohol) and it blends just fine with classic irish. makes a great boilermaker as well.

It smells (yellow cake batter, burnt sugar) better than it tastes ( underdeveloped and musty dry oak) I agree with Jon...more time. For as young as watershed is I think they did a decent job. but i put more faith in some of their other spirits (the gins). If you want to support local craft it is not a bad offering. Batch #62
