Tastes

Alcohol nose. Cognac jumps out immediately and is the show throughout. New oak hangs with it. Hot finish but not overly so.

Sweet with a little spice. Makes for a hood dessert rye.

Sherry nose for sure. Follows throughout. Not much rye character. Makes for a nice aperitif or dessert whiskey. Also mild notes of oak with velvet feel.

Mild licorice and baking spice nose. Medium body. Finished with a faint, warming eucalyptus.

Proof is absolutely present but not a hot bomb. Dark caramel. Spiced nuts. Chocolate follows the long Kentucky finish. Adding water opens some vanilla in the nose and a lingering licorice finish.

Vegetal nose with a cream soda sweetness. Subdued vanilla sweetness. A little nutty on top of oak.

Some sweet corn but not over the top. Young oak. Mild cherrywood.
