Initial aroma pear/apricot. Complex. Moderate heat, slight sweetness, but some earthy flavors come through as well. Above average. May revisit again.

Well balance aroma. Taste, pear. A little caramel. Most striking is the heat. Hits the pallet and sticks around for a little while. I have never been disappointed in any of the 4 Roses offerings I have tried. Will revisit.

Initial aroma tickles your olfactory senses. Hint of caramel and pear. Neat, it has some burn initially which sticks around. Maintains richness but not overly sweet. Will revisit this one.

Initial aroma citrusy. Unique flavor. Moderate burn. Bottle says Oak in Texas Mesquite so I anticipate that is where the unique flavor is coming from. Fairly rich and long lasting flavor profile. Will revisit this one again.

This is my favorite low cost Bourbon. Smooth taste. Easy to drink straight. Slightly sweet but not too much burn. Wheated bourbon. You won’t find a better low-cost bourbon out there.

Yeasty aroma reminiscent of Elmers glue paste from elementary school. Heavy on the corn. Burn sticks around a little while. Probably will not revisit. And correct, it does say only aged for 24 hours on the back of the bottle. If you are an overall officionado, this one’s for you.

I decided to give Redneck Riviera another try especially after John Rich’s song “Take Your Progress and Put It Where the Sun Don’t Shine” came out. I was initially a little harsh, but feel that this whiskey is right at average. Aroma of vanilla and honey. Nothing special on the front end. Smooth. Sweet with a little heat. A good effort for a blended bourbon. Easy to drink straight up. I prefer my bourbon to have more body on the front end.

Balanced everywhere but nothing very striking. Slight caramel aroma. Virtually no heat. Slight smokiness. Easy to drink neat. Nothing special.

Probably the best entry level bourbon that you’re going to find. Good price point. Balanced flavor. A little smoke and heat at the beginning. Not too sweet. Balanced. Probably my go to entry level bourbon.

This is my first time trying the entry level Four Roses bourbon. I have tried the small batch version many times. For an entry level bourbon, it is very smooth. Aroma is similar to the small batch-Carmel/Honey. Rather mild. Very little burn. Easy to drink neat. Well done considering it is an entry level bourbon.
