Pretty much my go to bourbon. Extremely balanced. Not too sweet and not too heat. Smooth. Easy to drink straight up. You really get to appreciate what a decent bourbon has to offer with this middle shelf.

Not much on this one. Agree with many of the comments. Too young. Watered down even when drinking neet. Mild sweetness with some burn. Weak ethanol aroma. Mild smokiness. The bottle is nice. Better choices out there. Reminds me of Canadian Hunter one of the worst Canadians I’ve ever tried. Probably not a repeat.

Absolutely, my favorite mid shelf burbourn . Extremely smooth. Can’t beat.

Moderate ethanol to the nose with mild caramel aromas. A bit of spice on the front end with some smokingess that last a little longer. Smooth but do not detect an abundance of different flavors. Average.

This is probably one of the best bottom mid shelf 100 proofs you will be able to find. Moderately spicy. Not too much on the nose as far as aroma. Not overly sweet. Definitely worth keeping in your cabinet.

I decided to try this one again. Cooper’s craft is a very mild bourbon. Floral citrus hits the nose prior to drinking. A little smoke no spice all. Not super sweet. Easy to drink straight up. Mild aftertaste that I can’t quite put my finger on. Not bad. Average at best.

I watched Kurt Russell in Quentin Tarantino‘s movie titled “Death Proof” pour this fine bourbon over a bullet wound after being shot. I thought to myself “What an absolute waste of a fine bourbon.” This is one of my favorites. It is definitely not a bottom shelf. More of a mid top shelf. Smooth. Easy to drink neat. You will like it.

I’ve tasted a number of whiskeys since I last try and Dickel. Two words come to mind – heat and sweet. That’s about it.

Moderate alcohol aroma that dissipates quickly. Not overly sweet. Fairly smooth when drinking neat. Nutty earthiness I can’t put my hands on. Average 100 proof. Not a bad price point for a mid shelf.

Moderate to strong alcohol aroma. Not extremely flavorful. When it hits your tongue and you swallow, heat increases as if you were stepping on the gas for a brief 10 seconds before dissipating. Due to lack of flavor, I feel this bourbon is overpriced and overrated.
