Tastes

The theme of this is very simple: tropical. You get melon, banana, mango, all thinks yellow and sweet, although this is still a quite dry liquid. There are leather notes mixed with orange-clementine. On the finish you find the grassy notes specific to the rhum agricole along with some ginger.

Dry cherries, cinnamon, wood-y, very rich (not in a bad way) and a pleasant cigarish flavour. This is how rum should taste like.

The ageing gave it the classic vanilla and heavily charred wood flavour. It does have a smoky flavour as well, not peated, just burnt. And not in a bad way. Besides that you get notes like banana bread and berries. I find it quite interestin, despite how aggressive it seems at the beginning.

You get a subtle jamaican funk with notes of bananas and pear, after that think blackberries and passionfruit. The barrel ageing gives it a very roasted wood-y and dark chocolate flavour. It finishes with light floral, herbal aniseed-y flavour in the back of your mouth. This is one of my favourites. Simply love at first sight.

You get some nice jamaican funk (nail polish, banana, pear) in combination with the maturation (dark chocolate, brown sugar, raisins). Overall a very very good value for money rum.

Coconut, vanilla, banana, apricot, a bit too sweet for me as they probably add sugar post distillation.

Rich, red fruits, raisins, dark cacao. A personal favourite.
