It's an interesting and unique gin. Worth trying (at a bar)

Wow! Is this whisky? That was my first impression. Super strong floral notes that make you wonder if this is gin or something else. Definitely an interesting dram but not sure it will be a huge hit amongst traditional Japanese whisky drinkers. Try it at a bar first!
  3. Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt

It's a solid representation of a good Japanese whisky, well-balanced flavors throughout with great aftertaste

It's an okay rum, however at this price point there are others that I'd rather pick such as plantation and denizen. It's other sibling reserva exclusiva is a complete different story; that one is my favorite rum under $50

This is an amazing sample of an Irish whisky well executed. It definitely punches above its weight at only $70

I revisited my review to give this whisky a better score. This is a nice smooth (and sweet) whisky, kind of what you'd pick for someone who's not particularly a big fan of the spirit. A little expensive for a NAS bottle but definitely worth it!
  7. 4 Copas Tequila Blanco

    Tequila Blanco — Jalisco, Mexico

Recently tried this blanco and it dethroned Corazon Blanco as the best tequila to use in cocktails. This is as good as tequila blanco gets!
  8. Redbreast Lustau Edition

    Single Pot Still — Ireland

This is quite an interesting take on Irish whiskey. If you like some of the spiciness from Rye added to Irish whisky, then this will be a surprisingly good choice. I prefer it over the regular 12 year, as the Lustau has more character and there are other 12 year that deliver quite well in that age statement
  9. Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year

If you like Irish whisky because you associate it with smoothness, then you'd definitely enjoy a dram of this thing. It's a great value whisky, and delivers quite well

amazing blanco with a well balanced traditional notes. a no brainer at this price point ($40). I still prefer the cristalino for sipping but the blanco works great in cocktails
