    Excellent value for a sipping rye. The mash bill has removed all the edges so great for new rye drinkers. Just brought my 6th bottle as friend keep enjoying.

    Very spicy with fruit and wood. Could pass for a nice bourbon but a little sweet. Enjoying at the Belmond in Cuzco by a large fireplace. Will search duty free on my way home.

    Sweet and rich with vanilla, nutmeg and caramel. Great blended sipping rum. Enjoyed tonight at Belmond Monasterio in Cusco and will explore rum selection again tomorrow night.

    Enjoying at Belmont Sanctuary Lodge 100’ from Machu Picchu. Best sipping rum so far and plan to take one home from duty free shop. The double oak makes for a very smooth and rich dram!

    Enjoying at Aranwa Resort in the Saced Valley. Okay and not nearly as good as the XO last night. Slightly less sweet, vanilla, dried fruits and sherry cask finish stand out. Recommend saving your money for the Ron Cartavio XO 18yr. Will look for XO at duty free on way home.

    Enjoying at Weston in Lima Peru. Very pleasant sipping rum. Slightly sweet with brown sugar and molasses plus complexities of raisins and spice.

    Love the pear, smoke,spice, fruit and of course 57%! Not picking up the salt but probably due to eating haggis at White Hart in Edinburgh.

    Expert tasting notes are spot on and good value for price. For some reason avoided Chivas products for a few decades but toured the Strathisla distillery in Speyside. Very impressive and highly recommend the barrel strength tasting. All were great and brought the 18 at 40% when the barrel was much higher, maybe 55%. Are were great but not available for retail. So brought the 40% 18yr old based on barrel tasting, which is not fair... you need to tour Speyside!
