This was recommended by a Puerto Rican friend. It’s great for sipping. He would be offended if you mixed this one in a cocktail.

This reminds me of the burnt sugar coating on a creme brûlée. That taste comes through in mixed drinks as well. I do not prefer this.

Nice nose - this would be a nice floater. A little harsh for sipping, but would mix well.

I love this rum. It’s aged in ex-bourbon casks, and that whiskey flavor shines through. In fact, I probably wouldn’t have guessed that this was a rum if I didn’t know otherwise. I’m eager to try this in a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.

This is my go-to imaged rum. It mixes great, and it’s inexpensive. This isn’t a rum style that I would sip, but you probably could.
