The first full or barrel proof I've tried, harsh on the tongue and throat, though manageable, but the strong flavor is a worthwhile tradeoff for the alcohol content.

Although this isn't anything exciting to write home about, this is a nice, cheap corn whiskey that doesn't try to be anything it isn't. Its simple, but enjoyable, and good for the price.

I've never done tasting notes before, and this is my first rye. However, I get strong rye spice up front that's met by an also strong sweetness, helping to manage it. If you think of rye bread and what you'd imagine a rye whiskey would be, this is it.
