The port just over powers anything good about this.

Did not like this even a little bit. Tasted as if it were ruined.

I found this bourbon to be an exceptional pour. Classic bourbon nose with hints of red fruit. Great thick mouth feel, the pallet starts with a little sweetness then comes the pepper. Vanilla, caramel, barrel, a touch of apple peal and leather leads to a long peppery finish. Love it, I made the mistake of bringing it to a family birthday party and just about finished it off! Glad I bought 2!!!

Had a great pour at Chimes in Covington Louisiana last night. Not exactly the best atmosphere for a tasting (just to many wonderful aromas) but a great place to sample a great bourbon with great food. The nose just reaches out and grabs you. Loads of vanilla, oak and nuttiness. The pallet is just as memorable. It was half-price oyster night and the Smooth Ambler was a perfect match. Just don't get no betta'!!!

Sweet vanilla and fruity nose, very mild and enjoyable. The pallet starts off very sweet, and the peppery rye comes in on the back. There is a touch of oak and char offsetting the sweetness abit. Overall very smooth with a good mouth feel. The medium finish brings more pepper, char and vanilla/ caramel sweetness. Like most EH Taylor releases it does not disappoint and is worth the retail price of admission.

Barrel, barrel, barrel, big vanilla, great mouth feel. Long Peppery finish. Love it.
