Tastes

Easily one of the best bourbons I have had. Sweet, warm, rich with flavor. Hits all my boxes for a phenomenal bourbon. Great to see what’s coming out of Illinois.

Without a doubt the worst bourbon I have ever had. Cool bottle, but that’s about all it has going for it.

Rest time: ten mins Color: darker amber. Shows a decent amount of age on it. Nose: very sweet in the nose. Classic four roses smell to me. Not too strong at all. I get lots of fruit. Taste: I have it a good Kentucky chew. Very sweet much like the nose. Has more burn to it on the first sip than a 104% would indicate. Classic four roses taste to me and I very much enjoy it.

Lots of vanilla on the nose for me with a very sweet taste on the tongue. An overall fantastic bourbon. My only complaint would be the proof and I wish it was a few ticks more and got to 100.

I was able to find this bottle for MSRP so that makes it even better in my opinion. Nevertheless, this thing is pure cinnamon to me and in such a good way. I prefer my whiskey neat so I typically don’t add a drop of water to my bourbon but the high proof on this means one doesn’t hurt and it definitely opens things up.

Nice caramel taste on the initial sip. Definitely notes of vanilla on the tongue. Nice 100 proof tingle on the swallow. Would absolutely buy again as a daily sipper.
