1792 Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 25, 2022 (edited February 10, 2022)Neat: Bold and robust. I perceive spicy black pepper notes followed by oak and apricot. Based on initial tasting. Enjoyable, but initially unbalanced and not very complex. Further tastes unveil more balanced and varied notes which complement one another nicely. -
Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finished Bourbon

George Dickel 9 Year Hand Selected Barrel
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 11, 2022 (edited November 19, 2022)Nose: Brown sugar and maple. Neat: Sweet and spicy. Brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, and buttered corn notes tie in nicely with quite a bit of spice throughout the experience. The spice lends to a harshness up front but mellows to a nice spice flavor on the back. Overall very enjoyable. -
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 28, 2021 (edited February 13, 2021)Good value liquor, though not a very good overall tasting bourbon. I can tell it hasn't been aged long as the flavor profile is quite bland and the finish is gone faster than I can identify much of anything. It makes for a poor whiskey sour, and its Manhatten variant is far too watery for me. I would only resort to drinking EW BinB in the form of a party shot. I prefer EW Single Barrel for all forms and usage of drink. The Nose: sweet corn, nuttiness, and a little vanilla. Sipping neat: caramel, vanilla, salty peanut shells, corn sweetness, and watermelon? Lol
