The Caol Ila is, compared to some of its peatier islay bunkmates, very smooth. I believe the Caol Ila is perhaps a mixture of all the finest qualities you'll find in many of the Islay whiskies. The Oily texture of the Ardbeg, the bold body of a Laphroaig, the delicacy of the Lagavulin, and the smoothness of the Bunnahabain. Just a fantanstic whisky with ao much to offer.

For 250 dollars I was expecting a lot more from this whiskey. I was just disappointed.
