Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed June 25, 2016I love the unpeated nature of this Bruichladdich. It calls into question the paint by number briny, salty goodness that is Islay. This whisky has proven itself worthy of the distillery, while making a statement about the flexibility of the Islay flavor profiles. Fruit fruit fruit! -
Lismore The Legend 21 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed June 25, 2016 (edited April 21, 2022)The cryptic nature of Lismore leaves me frustrated and sulken, but you won't find a 21 for cheaper unless you oak it yourself. I agree with the assumption of Glenfarclas but I feel it undersells itself.
