For the price, this is an excellent bourbon for most uses. Stellar in a cocktail and a surprisingly good sipper with some ice or water. While it may not have the complexity of more expensive options, it is perfect when you are craving bourbon but so t want to use anything nice. And again, for how inexpensive it is, its exceptional value. Its simple, straightforward bourbon.

Tried it neat and on ice. On the nose is baking spice and fruit. Tastes like a spicy grilled pineapple. Even neat the heat isn’t to strong. Didn’t even realize it was barrel proof until after we had a few sips. On ice its great but to much dilution and it breaks down. Like a lot of whiskey just a little water makes it perfect. Excellent high proof bourbon.

The main thing I always get is banana and vanilla with a fair amount of heat.While I do occasionally drink this straight or in the rocks it’s usually with a Jack and Coke. Sometimes more Jack than Coke. This gets a bad rap, but for the price I think its great.
