Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 29, 2021 (edited June 23, 2022)Joe Canal’s store pick. Cherry, corn, oak, slight ethanol on the nose. So smooth on first sip, tasting some cherry and light corn. Smooth and subtle, getting some oak in the back. Really smooth, really, really good. -
Strong ethanol on the first whiff, but chocolate cherry woodiness comes through afterward. Maybe a little caramel, too. Buttercream on my first taste, more cherry and oak on the back end. More cherry, corn on the nose as it goes down. Gets smoother as you drink it too. Very, very good.50.0 USD per Bottle

Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 28, 2021 (edited August 5, 2021)Nose is almost too subtle. Trying to pick out flavors, but not getting much besides light oak, maybe some corn, and some slight ethanol. Heavy spice on first sip, but fruity, caramel, and corn on later sips. Just the right amount of burn on the aftertaste. Really damn good.45.0 USD per Bottle
