Tastes

Excellent taste from the first second it hits your mouth. It’s viscous and has great legs. It has a definite smell and taste of vanilla and some spicy orange peel. Its smooth as any high end bourbon I’ve had and there is no burn. Its a great pour and now one of my favorites!

This is quite an easy swaller! Doesn’t have any legs, mouth feel isn’t much to speak of but it tastes great. Subtle spice but very tasty, more spice than the usual vanilla, oak notes. I read that one taster discerned toffee and marshmallow notes…for me that’s spot on. You can definitely appreciate the higher ABV but nothing overpowering! Its a nicely crafted expression.

Cool from front to finish, very fruity…sweet especially on the back end. Currants, pear very pleasant bourbon and a nice sipper. For a mid shelf pour it’s a bourbon that is great neat after a meal.

This is a very good bourbon..esp for the price! It is viscous and to me it has a close taste to Eagle Rare. It's one of my favorite lower shelf bourbons

This is one of my favorite Ryes. It is totally unique and has a viscus mouth feel as well, To me it has a strong fruity, almost a sherry taste up front and currant on the back end . It also slides down on the back end quite smoothly. A true winner!
