Tastes

I was so excited when I finally found a bottle, and was surprised to see just how thick and sweet it was. I was hoping for more of a bread like rye richness with a sweet and spicy rum finish, but instead the rye just served to hold down the candy corn like fruit flavor.

Syrupy sweet, a bit too much for my taste. Good flavor but a bit light on any spice finish. Cut with some ice to thin it out some.

Fresh cut grass and cloth band aids. Very strong yet enjoyable peat and confident aroma. The smokey flavor will stay in your mouth for the evening so keep that in mind if tasting.

Smooth, good wheat flavor and clean but nothing terribly crazy. Perfectly enjoyable glass.

I've now had voyages 1, 3, and 4.. My word, these are absolutely amazing! It literally tastes like a salty ocean breeze, but you know.. in the form of a whiskey.

Starts out like a cigar shop humidifier room, then wet leather and burnt coffee. Wraps it up with a flash of steak spice. Didn't think I'd care for this one, but was really surprised at how enjoyable it is!

Even though it's on the sweeter, thicker side.. add some ice and I'm throwing back to how I imagine whiskey tasting in the good old days. Apricot favors that roll down into a coffee fade out.

I like a healthy spice in my whiskey, but this one just straight up burns. Confusing given other things I've heard about it, so maybe there's some inconsistencies with the bottling? Not sure if I up to try it again.

Smells like when Mom would make vanilla in a brandy bottle and finishes like a good toasted peanut and oak. Absolutely love it!
