Tastes

Exactly what I hoped for, just didn't taste good the first time I had it after Glenlivet. Can taste fruit and fudge, not the candy. But the spice and the caramel is great. Maybe a 3.5 erring on the "I'm in a good mood side". The sweet malt is stronger on later tastings and helps balance the spice.

I like how smokey, spicy and complex wood tastes when it starts but the aftertaste is a bit metallic or coiny. I can taste some florality. Not sure if it's been oxidized in the bottle? Very good spicy. Returning thoughts. Lots of brine.

More like a 2.5. Has an ether off taste hidden by honey. Not the best to come from kilbeggan. Bit of spice and cask.

Can definitely taste vanilla early, honey late and malt throughout. Very smooth. Smoother and sweeter than it's cheaper comrade. Always special as our wedding whiskey.
