Caol Ila 2004 Cask Strength (Gordon & MacPhail)
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 22, 2015Not as smokey as an Ardbeg in my view. I like to drink all my whiskey with a touch of cold water, however with this one you MUST, in my opinion, drink it with a touch of cold water to enjoy its flavours, otherwise you just lose all the flavours and perfumes in its strenght -
Cragganmore 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 22, 2015 (edited April 9, 2016)3.5 stars. Not a bad whiskey, nice clean flavour, however for what it is, it's a bit pricey. For a similar price (at least where I live) you can get gems like Lagavulin 16yo, Aberlour 12yo or Dalwhinnie 15yo, all of which surpass the Cragganmore in my opinion. -
Kavalan Classic Single Malt
Single Malt — Taiwan
Reviewed December 22, 2015 (edited October 7, 2016)After reading a heap of good reviews, I had the opportunity to try this one. While not a bad whiskey, it didn't impress me, it reminds me a bit of the Yamazaki, which I'm also not a huge fan of.
