What a great dram. Light peat which slowly shows more of the sherry character with some grassy moldy finish. The flavor is not very complex, but is reach and beautifully settles in your mouth for a pleasant sip. The Aftertaste shows more peat than expected, and finishes the experience with a pleasant feeling for more. A classic, comforting and pleasant dram to have in you collection.

Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed October 16, 2017 (edited December 19, 2017)Nose: At first floral, malt and vanilla notes. More alcohol than expected for a 40%. Hints of milk chocolate, coffee and noble hops. The nose evolves after a couple of minutes, developing more of the stout/chocolate aromas. Mouth: Sweetness, butterscotch and vanilla which slowly turn into chocolate with a slightly bitter finish. Aftertaste: Short, bitter. Interesting and pleasant texture that reminded me more of the Stout itself.
