Was very excited to try this but was left dissatisfied. I know these types of bottles can be very barrel dependent. Barrel 622 Appearance: light in color, crazy long legs on the glass, always exciting. Nose: Almost smells of a single malt aged in bourbon barrels. It’s not a distinct “bourbon” and has a weird acrylic/plastic note on the back end. Other than that there is a overall grainy sweetness which is pleasant. Lots of grain. Taste: No other way to put than simple, a indistinct sweetness that does not evolve as you chew. Smooth? absolutely. Very rich mouth feel. Finish: What finish? Overall: Okay, it’s smooth and would make a great beginner pour, but I don’t see myself returning for this neat. May have just gotten a boring barrel. I find myself looking for different flavors which are non existent. Maybe will need to try a different years bottling.29.99 USD per Bottle

Belle Meade Cask Strength Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Tennessee), USA
Reviewed August 16, 2019The nose is very sweet with berry notes. Immediate spice followed by the barrel, interesting and complex but not very smooth Finish is bitter and long, a good Kentucky chew of this is a hell of a ride.60.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: Barbacoa beef spices? Classic vanilla and caramel sweetness. Palate: initial sweetness, but of oak, followed by a sharp bitter taste. Finish: So strange but I just get tons of beef barbacoa spices on a medium finish. May have just been the night. I originally got this at a bar and it was one of the best bourbons I had ever tasted, but the bottle I got was not of the same batch, I personally find the small batch to be a bit more consistent, but the right bottle/batch of this would easily be a 95+ for me. Back to the hunt.

Nose: sweeeet, honey and vanilla, salt water taffy, cream, green apples. Palate: spicy, and full of fire. Honey comes through. Slight oak Finish: meaty and medium-long. Oil mouth feel. Pretty nice. Overall it’s a very spicy sipper, especially only being 92 proof I was blown away. I don’t find it very complex as the sweetness takes over and is replaced then with the burn. But it is interesting, nose is the best part. 80/100 Rack U3622.0965.0 USD per Bottle
