Nice to drink neat, but it might get lost in a cocktail. It’s very smooth with a nice spicy kick. The lower proof allows the sweetness and vanilla to come through with some spicy cinnamon. There’s a lot of flavor here for a lower proof bourbon

There are nice layers to this one. There’s just a hint of peat followed by sweet fruit. The finish has a whiff of smoke. This is nice to slowly sip!

Sweet nose with hints of vanilla. Lots of caramel on the palate with hints of cinnamon. Very smooth. Nice hint of oak on the finish

Vanilla nose. Very spicy- the high proof gives it a lot of heat. Nice flavors of caramel and toffee with some lingering orange zest.

I liked this more than I thought I would! There’s a lot of sweetness followed by a lot of spice. I would guess this has a lot of rye in the mash. There are some dark fruit notes from the brandy casks. This has some complexity to it!
