Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Bourbon (107 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 10, 2022 (edited June 23, 2022)Solid, very tasty bourbon. Tastes of caramel, toffee, baked apples, and honey, eventually giving way to a lingering aftertaste of cinnamon candy. I think I’d enthusiastically recommend it were it not for the (frankly inflated) price point. Recommend mellowing the whiskey with a few drops of water.28.0 USD per PourThe Penrose -
Banhez Mezcal Ensamble
Mezcal Joven — Oaxaca, Mexico
Reviewed September 1, 2020 (edited December 31, 2020)Great value mezcal. Just a bit of smoke. Agave sweetness. Some fruit - pineapple maybe? Even a little something savory, too, maybe salted bacon fat. Mint extract / menthol burn (in a good way). Excellent value, interesting to drink near, great substitute for tequila to spice up a margarita. -
