High West Double Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed February 13, 2015 (edited April 15, 2015)Very spicy but smoothed out at the finish. Very slick, oily mouthfeel to it. I get a hint of burnt cinnamon and earthy/herbal tones as well. It is definitely worth a taste but it isn't my favorite in the $25-40 price range. -
Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Blended Malt — Scotland
Reviewed January 17, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)Rich and malty with a heavy peat note. This is one of the better bang for the buck Johnnies. -
Pendleton 1910 12 Year Rye Whisky
Canadian — Canada
Reviewed January 10, 2015 (edited April 6, 2019)Lots of vanilla on the nose. Smells hot but is very smooth with sweet vanilla and toffee notes. Caramel as well. Really tasty but much sweeter than most ryes so it won't be for everyone. -
Glenlivet 18 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 19, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Oakey with tones of vanilla. Really tasty but super strong.
