Not the most complex of whiskeys but sometimes that’s a good thing if you want one to sit on and enjoy. This is probably one of my top favorite Irish whiskeys just because of how smooth the finish is.

This definitely highlights the rye over sweetness factor. For a rye, it’s rare for me to get one where the flavors even out in smokiness and sweetness, though. This is a rye I like to use to make for a little twist on an old fashion. And I just keep coming back to it.

Loved the 120 proof. It’s full bodied and a great pour considering how conservative the price is. Can definitely taste the oak and maple and is good to just sip on.
