Nice peaty scotch. Not quite Ardbeg or Lagavulin level, but solid if found for a good price.

Great Islay, but I prefer the 10-yr just a smidge over this one. 10yr has more “bacon-ey BBQ” flavor while this is more mellow smoke.

My absolute favorite of the Islay whiskies that I’ve tried. I’ve yet to have laphroiag 10 and higher lines though. So you may need to take that with a grain of salt.

For some reason I just pretty much diskliked this one through the whole bottle. Didn’t get better with time like most and had heat/bite instead of flavor where there shouldn’t have been. Too young maybe? Don’t know, but this would be relegated to mixer if it ever shows up in my house again!

Love this whiskey. Has definite “peanut butter” palate flavors along with the brown sugar notes. I enjoy it more than most Buffalo Trace entry level offerings and maybe Blantons too! It’s that good to me.
