Tastes

Very nice. The aroma of oak and sweetness is strong. The wood is present in the flavor, too, and there's a mild spiciness. The alcohol burn stays through the finish and keeps the cheeks and back of the mouth warm. A little water brings out more sweetness.

Not undrinkable, but nothing special. Aroma is mildly sweet; taste is a little spicy with quite a bit of burn. Finish is just burn.

Disappointing. Not much aroma: mild vanilla and sweetness. Alcohol bites from start to finish (not as much as cheaper stuff, but moreso than other good bourbons). Unmemorable.

A light aroma; I can sort of pick out a little toffee or caramel, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The taste has a herbal/fruity/floral tea-like quality to it, and it finishes medium-long with cinnamon flavor. It goes down smoothly; I don't really notice much alcohol burn until after it's drunk. A little water brings out the little sweetness there is. I like this one more each time I have it.

This has a complex aroma and taste that I can't pull a lot of specifics out of. Vanilla is there as is oak and maybe some orange and sweetness. The alcohol burn is high and long-lasting, but it's smooth and goes down easy. The taste ends somewhat bitterly, but in a good way. Worth having again.

Disappointingly little depth to the aroma and taste. The oak aroma and taste is more prevalent than black or white label and it's got more bite (spicier and higher proof), but it's forgettable and nothing special.

Complex aroma -- oaky, nutty, spicy, and sweet. A little water makes it smell sweeter, I think, and with a little water I can smell some vanilla, too. Taste is well-balanced though a bit on the spicy side for me, and finishes a little spicy. It's good, but I prefer something sweeter.

This is what I thought bourbon was before becoming more experienced. Aroma of oak, smoky, spicy, and alcohol. Taste is pretty much the same. Occasionally I think I notice a little vanilla. I don't particularly enjoy it. *Far* better than the white label.

No particular aroma or flavor except alcohol. Seems to have a lot more burn than other higher-proof bourbons, though perhaps because there's no other good aroma or taste to note. Harsh. I'd even say it taste cheap.

The aroma is quite strong, and it smells great. Sweet, oaky, and fall spices. Velvety mouthfeel and full-bodied. The finish has a bitterness to it that I like less each time.
