Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2021 FAE-01
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 20, 2021 (edited April 20, 2021)This is good! Vanilla, brown sugar and a touch of tobacco on the nose. Sweet red fruits on the palate. Super smooth for the proof. Finish with a hug, sweet oak and baking spices. Buy it if you can find it. -
Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 30, 2021 (edited June 6, 2021)Great gateway bottle to the world of Scotch. Nose is light peaty fruit, vanilla and burnt sugar. Palate brings more vanilla, maybe a little honey and spice. Finish is smooth with Smokey oak and spice. Warms you up just a tad.Yorkville -
Far North Roknar Minnesota Rye Whiskey
Rye — Minnesota, USA
Reviewed January 29, 2021 (edited February 6, 2022)Weird... apricot and dried fruit on the nose, grain/rye and wood maybe oak palate. Finish is oak spice funk. Wouldn’t buy this. Wouldn’t use it in cocktails either. -
