Tastes

Vanilla, black tea, cedar char, sweeter than most whiskeys I prefer but not cloying like a dessert whiskey.

Got kind of a paint thinner jam to it. But in a good way. In a burnt umber kinda hue.

Sounds silly but the nose reminds me of a brand new basketball. Flavor has hints of orange peel, apple, cinnamon, oak, and campfire char.. Complex flavor profile. I like it a lot! I bet this would make a killer egg nog!

Aroma is a bit like a refined woody alcohol swab. Flavor is quite nice considering how strong this drink is. Flavor has cedar wood chips and cinnamon and smoked salmon skin. Of course there’s the warm alcohol bite to go along with that, but I count this among my top favorites.

Smooth, vanilla, oak planks, a little smoke. Easy to sip. Tad of nail polish.

Char, Apple, balsa wood, not my favorite but does the trick! Teeny Hint of cinnamon in the finish.

Pulls off smooth and strong. Hints of cinnamon, cedar and vanilla. Almost sweet but not in a cloying gross dessert way. Subtle sweetness. My wife tastes rubber cement! Lol!

Ooh.. I don’t think I’m a rye guy. Flavor is medicinal and popsicle stick to me. Wife said this would make a good Egg Nog mixer though.

Complex and bold flavor profile. Strong fresh cut wood flavor with a slight salty smoke with a tinge of peppermint. Slightly floral aftertaste, like rose perhaps.. this is my favorite sipping liquor so far! Nose is a hint of ivory soap.

Intense Oakey/woody flavor, slightly Smokey. Not much on the nose which isn’t a problem for me at all. Taste is Not pulling any punches. Aside from the extreme wood, a smooth blend. Nice to sip on, but maybe a little more woody than I prefer at this early stage in my Scotch Whiskey adventures.
