Always trying to stay in good spirits :) I’m searching for the ideal bottles of each spirit for my home bar. This is my opinion on what’s available in Ontario.

Unfortunately, like the other Tempo Gin Smash, this one is also underwhelming. A hint of bland strawberry and lemon flavour drown out by dry bitterness. $3.05 in Ontario.

Fresh stewed sweet strawberry and rhubarb jam in light airy sparkling water. Easy drinking. Only slight bitterness from the rhubarb but if anything it makes it taste more realistic so it’s worth it. Definitely one I’d buy again. $2.85 in Ontario.
    2.85 CAD per Cocktail

A hint of peach flavour without any of the sweetness. Throat parching dry medicinal black currant mixed with the dry acidity of the sparkling water. Desperately in need of some sweetness to validate the fruit flavours. As it is it’s pretty nasty. $2.95 in Ontario.
    2.95 CAD per Cocktail

Underwhelming faint sweet mango and a hint of ginger hidden behind moderately dry acrid vodka. I wish it had the heat of real ginger beer and the true sweetness of real mango to make it truly enjoyable. $3.25 in Ontario.
    3.25 CAD per Cocktail

The mango and peach come through but the dry gin overpowers them both. It’s decent, and if I liked mango more I might be more into it but it’s not really for me. $3.05 in Ontario.

It’s crazy how much the honey comes through in this! Man does it taste like fresh creamed honey, with bright lemon and a hint of gin. Not at all over sweet. The dry acidity of the lemon balances it out perfectly. I’m not a big honey person but if I was I’d be all over this. $2.95 in Ontario.

A nice light herbal quality from the craft gin. A hint of bright lemon and bitter lime pith, with just enough sweetness to balance it out. Light and easy drinking. The dry lime pith almost put me off it but it’s not overwhelming and the herbal gin note is unique and pleasant. $2.80 in Ontario.
    2.8 CAD per Cocktail

Delicious blood orange flavour. Slight bitterness. Not to dry, not too sweet. Easy drinking. Really nice. $3.15 in Ontario.

A huge letdown. A bit of sweet lemon drowned out by medicinal dry blackberry. Not at all for me. $2.95 in Ontario.

Easy drinking. Decent flavour but it’s all a bit muddled. The lime’s a little bitter and I barely get the mint. I wouldn’t turn it down but it’s nothing to get excited about. $2.85 in Ontario.
    2.85 CAD per Cocktail
