Bottle poured neat into Glencairn at home. Barreled on 7-23-10, barrel 49, bottled on 11-27-17. Nose has the caramel and butterscotch I loved from the 2011, though not as prominent; lots of oak comes on, along with some heat. Taste is oaky and spicy, with some citrus notes. Nice long aftertaste, drinks a tad hotter than the proof. Decent, though I prefer the 2011. 6/9/1927.99 USD per Bottle

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 2011
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 9, 2019 (edited January 10, 2020)**Duplicate entry from the non-vintage listing.** Bottle pour, neat, into Glencairn at home. Barreled on 1-5-11, barrel 3, bottled on 11-13-18. Nose is smooth caramel and butterscotch, some overripe apples. Beautiful. Taste brings some oak and spice to the mix, but the caramel stays underneath as a great base. Really nice, with a very pleasant lingering sweetness accented with just a hint of heat. Quite good. 6/8/19 -
50ml bottle poured neat into mini snifter at home. Nose is oak and smoke, definite rye spice in there. Taste is more of the same, with the grassy and spicy notes really dominating. It is a rye, indeed. Not a big fan, but it is decent enough and certainly has more character than regular Old No. 7. 6/9/19

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-02 "Shiny Barrel Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 8, 2019 (edited November 8, 2019)Bottle neat into Glencairn at home. Nose is gorgeous, with the alcohol fire tempered by vanilla, cognac, butterscotch, lite grains, apple, oak. Tons going on here. Taste is robust, with more oak and vanilla coming on, lingering heat, still getting the apple and vanilla. Finish goes on forever, and is really nice. Big fan. 6/8/1979.99 USD per Bottle -

50ml poured neat into Glencairn at home. I last tried this some 20 years or so ago. Nose has vanilla and oak, as expected, but also some wet hay aspects coming through, along with overripe stone fruits. Interesting, if a touch odd. Taste is very similar, nothing new coming on, nothing singularly jumping out from the initial characteristics. There is certainly some complexity and character here, though it just doesn't suit my palate very well. I suspect others would enjoy this much more than me, as it clearly has quality, just not my bag. 6/8/19

Tres Generaciones Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed June 8, 2019 -
50ml poured neat into Glencairn at home in a tasting session. I have had Woodford many times in the past, but had not made any notes or ratings. Nose is full of vanilla, oak, caramel, some citrus zest, touch of alcohol heat. Nice. Taste is somewhat subdued, with more of the vanilla and oak and less of the caramel and citrus. Quite smooth, a tad oily. Certainly a decent bourbon (and about as nice as one could find in a mini size). 6/8/19
