Coopers' Craft Original 82.2 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 8, 2019 (edited December 26, 2019)Mini bottle poured neat into Glencairn at home. First time I ever noticed this brand, have no expectations one way or the other. Nose has cinnamon and vanilla, some butterscotch. Pleasant, if perhaps a touch too sweet. Taste is more spicy at the front, then bittersweet with some char, raisins, and peanut shells. Bordering on odd. Taste is a letdown from the nose, and the lingering aftertaste is not very nice. Looks like Cooper's will be a one and done for me. 6/8/19 -
Mini bottle poured neat into a Glencairn at home. Golden color. Nose has lots of baking spices with some popcorn at the tail. Fairly pleasant, actually. Taste is spiced bread, with some vanilla, and then that popcorn comes back into play. Not as nice as the aroma, but still not unpleasant overall. Not particularly good, but then not particularly bad, and better than I expected. 6/8/19

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-01 "Teresa's Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 30, 2019 (edited July 14, 2019)Neat in Glencairn at home. Nose is sweet with mild spice underneath, vanilla, chestnuts, field grass. Flavor is more of the same, with the spiciness and nuttiness coming on. Real heat here. A splash of water opens up some additional spices along with some faint caramel. Decent, though not great, especially for the price.79.99 USD per Bottle -
1.75L to Glencairn, neat, at home. Nose is very smooth, honey and oak, mild apples, caramel. Taste is similarly smooth, quite mild but not thin in the palate. Honey, caramel, vanilla, touch of oak. Lite spice lingers in the aftertaste. I am a wheater, so this is just my jam. Nothing to wow you, but an easy sipper. Real bargain at $41.99 for a handle. Lucky to snag one of the three bottles allocated to the ABC store. 5/27/1941.99 USD per Bottle
