Color: light amber Nose: light honey and vanilla; light carmel after it airs for a bit Neat: initially dried fruit, honey; a bit oaky; its light on the tongue and evaporates quickly leaving a hot, spicy short finish, but the hug is pretty strong Rocks: spicy and oaky, a bit herbal on the finish; preferred it neat

Batch 28 Aired it for 10 to 20 minutes in a glencairn before tasting. Color: golden yellow brown Nose: faint sugars, sweetness like a sugared breakfast cereal; floral and herbal notes Neat: predominantly herbal and floral flavors; evaporates quickly on tongue leaving a mint/menthol-like coolness; finish is quick leaving long light warm hug Rocks: sweetness increases; herbal/floral notes diminish

Nose: lightly sweet, raisins, cherries Neat: brown sugar, light hug, short easy finish; sometimes cough syrup hits the palate Of the three regular releases by Horse Soldier, this was my favorite. Had more flavor than the other two.

Nose: oaky, a bit of vanilla and raisin when aired Rocks: oaky, a bit spicy; short finish Overpriced for this juice Better than my 2 star Old Tub. Not as good as my 3 stars BT or BH

Nose: Sweet. Little cherry. Neat: Spicy. Gets better if aired for 15 to 20 minutes Rocks: Smokey, Spicy, heat Prefer it as a mixer.

Nose: Sweet, sugary Neat: Spicy, a little heat Rocks: Smokey, Spicy, Oak; spicy finish
