Tastes

I enjoyed the light fragrance, with a floral hint, and spicy finish at the first sip. The second sip is much smoother. Started neat, move to distilled water, then to one ice cube. Enjoyed the different notes that I still have to discover. Give it some time and it will become very smooth.

Oak finish. Need a splash of water to soften it. Allows more vanilla and honey to come out.

Entry oozes butter cream, dark caramel, and brown sugar; midpalate focuses more on the grain as the flavor becomes toasty, fruity and honeyed. Ends honey sweet, decadent and maple-like.

Nice start and flavor on finish.

Nice taste and finish. Good for starting into the world of rye whisky.
