Spec’s store pick...same 113 proof. One of the best bottles for under $40 you’ll ever find. Better than Weller 107 to me...a great wheated surprise that has some 113 heat you’d want and a mellow wheat bourbon with balanced oak/sweetness and a medium finish. But it if you see it....definitely worthy to be on anyone’s shelf.

Good not great imho, spicy and a true rye... better then most but not exclusively the most unique. Best after 1 hour in glass...time allows the true flavors to shine. Update: bottle has been open a few weeks and this rye has changed for the good. A confection candy sweetness now accents the forward rye spice. Def growing on me now and I’m considering doing my own 2 week second oak barreling at home to see how this tastes “toasted.” I can see an improved Michter’s Toasted Rye or Four Gate batch 11 profile here.
